ABOUT US
The Harrojji School Project was startet by Alem Hika, a former pupil at the Harrojji Elementary School in Ethiopia, and his family after a visit to the village in 2009. Since then he and his team has initiated several projects improving the conditions at the school and the local community.
Our main goal is to give children and youth in the Harrojji community a better chance of getting an education and succeeding in life. We hope that over a period of time all the students in our program will use their knowledge to develop new projects for further development of the Harrojji community.

We have already taken steps to help the school by building a well and securing running water, as well as provided some modern school equipment. And in December 2012 the project group attended the grand opening of two new school buildings.
Even though we've come a long way since the beginning of this project, there is still a lot to do. In addition to improving the schooling conditions, the Harrojji School Project gives schoolerships to 42 pupils this school year (2012/2013) to attend secondary school. We hope to be able to continue this work in the future and hopefully be able to expand the program.
